As part of their GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition course, Year 10 Food Technology students explored Indian cuisine to gain an insight into the skills and techniques involved when producing authentic Indian dishes. As a result, the girls decided to put their skills into action by hosting an Indian pop-up restaurant on Monday 26th June.
A significant amount of collaborative work and planning resulted in the production of a delicious menu showcased to invited guests. All the staff and parents enjoyed the delicious food. We would like to thank Mrs Sayce for masterminding such a wonderful evening.
Year 10 pupil, Jessamie Warwick, said: “It was a lovely evening where we all got a taster of the Indian culture and its food. It was a great experience that we should do more frequently.”
