Food for Life Scotland: Transforming food culture

The Soil Association’s Food for Life Scotland programme, funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by Soil Association Scotland, is transforming food culture north of the border.

Food for Life Scotland is working with public and private sector caterers, growers and producers, cooks and communities to transform food culture, by serving food that is good for people and the planet.

More than 14 million catering mark meals are served in Scotland every year by a range of organisations including a growing number of local authorities - 1 in 3 primary schools in Scotland now serve Food for Life meals!

Commission Our Work

"We wanted to be able to tell parents that we were serving high-quality school meals, beneficial to children’s health, wellbeing and attainment. The FFLSH award was an excellent way to do that."Nicky Joiner (Catering Coordinator, East Renfrewshire Council)
