The Cool Food Pro team have been in schools this month delivering interactive workshops on the real value of food, its impact on the climate, and why it’s important not to waste it!
The pupils in Beecholme and Skelton Primary schools, catered by Caterlink and Hutchison Catering, learnt how many people and how much water it takes to produce different foods. How much CO2 is generated in their production and how much money is wasted if it’s thrown away.
Workshops are a great opportunity to convey important concepts around food waste, encouraging positive changes from an early age.
