A massive well done to Early Years Catering who have retained their Food for Life Served Here Silver Award!
Early Years Catering have worked hard, continuing to meet the standards for their Silver Award and serve healthy, sustainable food that’s good for our health, climate and nature. Early Years Catering are not new to Food for Life Served Here, they were one of our early adopters when the award, or Catering Mark as it was known then, was launched over a decade ago.

“Our Food for Life Served Here award validates all the hard work that goes into the food we serve. We are committed to helping make a healthier and greener future for children. We believe children deserve the best food possible at an early age as this determines positive choices and healthy eating patterns in later life. We are proud to deliver nursery settings with fresh, nutritionally balanced home cooked meals which help children to grow, stay healthy and aid their mental development. Our meals are cooked from scratch by our experienced creative chefs using a wide range of colours, flavours and textures to make the food enjoyable and fun.
"As a progressive small business, we are always looking at ways to ensure that we are environmentally responsible and improve on our contribution to the world we live in. All our power is provided by a renewable energy provider. Since 2020 we have only invested in Electric Vehicles. We are committed to eradicating single use packaging and are lobbying our suppliers to do the same. We offer seasonal menus and have increased the number of plant-based meals per week. We source as much produce as possible from local and organic suppliers. 86% of our waste is recycled and we are always looking at ways to improve this.”
