Bryn Hamer – Head of Business Development
Bryn joined Food for Life in January 2021 to lead our fantastic Business Development team. Prior to this he had a number of Director roles and ran his own consultancy working in the home assistance, care industry, charity and EV infrastructure.
Clare Clark – Senior Business and Product Development Manager
Clare is an expert on environment and sustainability, determined to use our daily interactions with food to tackle health inequalities and solve the climate crisis.
Her goal is to provide businesses and citizens with a practical toolkit of solutions that help improve human and environmental health.
Clare is an Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment member and two times Sustainable Restaurant Association award winner.
Caron Longden – Development Lead for Food for Life Served Here and Food for Life Green Kitchen Standard
In over 15 years working for Soil Association, Caron has supported caterers to achieve FFLSH and GKS.
She is based in the north of England but leads the team nationally to develop both our certifications and client experience.
She has a background in the catering industry, working previously as a chef in workplace restaurants before joining Soil Association - initially to develop the organic market working with farmers, producers, and citizens.
Hannah Caswell – Sustainable Catering Development Manager
With over 20 years working for the Soil Association, Hannah is an expert on sustainable food and is based in the south west.
She supports caterers in achieving FFLSH and GKS.
Hannah also takes a lead on developing national accounts and ensuring our clients get the best value from their achievements.
David Persaud – Sustainable Catering Development Manager
With over 20 years’ experience in the catering industry, David is our Sustainable Catering Development Manager based in the Midlands. He will support you with all things FFLSH and GKS, with a focus on our training and consultancy delivery.
Tayler Maggs – Business Development Officer
Tayler is the Business Development Officer at Food for Life. She manages our monthly FFLSH newsletter, webinars and events (hopefully in person again soon!).
She also provides day-to-day and project support to the Business Development team and is the key point of contact for all FFLSH and GKS data related queries.
Central Operations Team
The Central Operations team look after the nuts and bolts of the Food for Life Awards Schemes (Schools, Early Years, Food for Life Served Here, and Food for Life Green Kitchen Standard).
The team enrol everyone, manage payments, and collect and assess evidence to demonstrate standards are being met.
They then issue awards and at licensee's renewal point… do it all again!
Sian Creagh-Osborne – Central Operations Manager
Sian heads up the team of Awards Officers, Admin and Technical Support. She is the expert on all things Food for Life - and is the go-to person for any queries and questions.
Gillian Peacock – Senior Awards Officer
Gillian is the Senior Awards Officer for the FFLSH programme.
With the support of Hannah and Lottie, she looks after all our FFLSH licensees. Ensuring we have all we need to be confident that you are meeting the standards so we can issue your licence year on year. She is also involved in the development of the programme, streamlining our processes - most recently working on the creation of our new catering portal, and improving the annual evidencing process for licensees.
Hannah Wade– Awards Officer
Hannah is here to assist with any queries regarding your award, inspections or standards.
She supports the day-to-day delivery of the Food for Life awards schemes - guiding caterers through the awards cycle, helping you prepare for inspection and following-up afterwards to issue your certificates.
Lottie Wild - Senior Admin Officer
Lottie leads our administration and customer service for FFLSH, GKS, Schools and Early Years Awards and Membership.
She processes enrolments and applications and facilitates payments. She also responds to the Food for Life inbox - both email and good old post!
Alex Hart – Food for Life Technical Manager
Alex is the Technical Manager for Food for Life, seconded from Soil Association Certification where he has worked for over ten years as a Senior Certification Officer.
Alex has brilliant technical expertise in food, processing and production. He supports the teams across Food for Life and is the main point of contact for all things technical.
