Do you want to make healthy and sustainable food the easy choice in your local authority area?
Food for Life has been working with local authorities across the country for over 10 years, supporting schools, nurseries, caterers and communities to embed a good food culture within their settings and beyond.
Through bespoke support, training, and action plans we work alongside you to inspire, sustain and celebrate changes that improve access to good food, food environments and food systems.
Our experience and flexibility means that we can develop a bespoke approach to suit your goals, whether that’s focusing on areas of deprivation or reducing sugar intake across the community.
Food for Life has been working with Medway schools for eighteen months and it has been really inspiring seeing the positive impact the whole-school food programme has had so far. We chose to work with Food for Life because of their track record of working with education settings and the quality of their offer.
Schools are building links with local farms and pupils are learning where food comes from and developing their food preparation skills. This all contributes towards a healthy school food culture.
Other benefits include meeting Ofsted requirements, supporting the plan for Public Procurement and joining an existing network of schools, nurseries, hospitals and caterers as part of the good food movement.
