Thanks to a commission from Sheffield City Council, the Eat Smart Sheffield programme has been working with over 80 schools across the city to improve food access, increase school meal take up and support schools to embed a Whole School Approach to food and nutrition.
The new Food for Life Medway programme launched at the end of the summer and is already helping schools with growing, cooking and food education across the district. Read more here.
On 9th November Food for Life Walsall held a celebration event at The Forest Arts Centre. The event was attended by 13 FFL schools and nurseries bringing along almost 50 children!

At Food for Life, we know that caterers are the army behind serving good food to schools across the country. Throughout the pandemic, Brexit and now further price rises due to the cost of living, caterers continue to serve hot school meals to school pupils.
We’re excited to share the new National Standards for Food and Drink in Healthcare, which have been published on the NHS England website this week. This is a big step forwards for hospital food, helping to ensure it’s more nutritious and sustainably sourced.
